Getting Involved
The Community is the key
The key to a successful Pathfinder is in it’s community consultation, ensuring from the outset that residents are provided the opportunity to ‘have their say’ and contribute to the way services are provided in their area.
The Pathfinder engage with the community through a variety of methods such as:
The Buzz, a twice yearly magazine providing information on the Pathfinder and its interventions.
Questionnaires, to gain community feedback on where the problems are and the best way to tackle them.
The Neighbourhood plan, which sets out the Pathfinder plan for the year ahead and is delivered to all homes in the area.
Schools, through governor meetings and getting the young people involved in Pathfinder projects.
The Website, providing information about the Pathfinder and an opportunity to share your views about your local area and the Pathfinder Project.
Attendance and participation in many local events and activities in order to report on progress, persuade more people to engage and to obtain feedback on the effectiveness of our approach.
Community Forums, where the community can meet to discuss issues and possible solutions which can be carried forward through the Pathfinder.

Community forums need people like YOU to be successful.
YOU could be the key to regenerating the area you live in.
If you would like more information on community forums and how to become a member contact the Pathfinder office on 0191 5870752 and speak to Caroline or Claire, or e-mail: pathfinderadmin@easington.gov.uk
